Another AMAZING music cruise is now in the books.
The 2024 ON THE BLUE CRUISE was a blast!
This is a little snip of my guitar solo from show #1 with The Zombies.
And another round of thanks to The Zombies, The Rocks Management
Cindy Da Silva and ChrisTuthill !

It’s always a kick and immense pleasure working with this fine musician.
Here’s a little video snip from 2019 of a quick rehearsal on board the The Mariner Of The Seas cruise ship. During this sailing, Hux (Parthenon Huxley/Lead Singer/Guitarist at The Orchestra/Former members of ELO)) joined me at my solo show in Studio B as my special guest. We had a blast! And a final word…..please help support the work of indie artists. During these challenging times, they are no longer able to get out there to tour and perform their music LIVE in front of an audience. Show your care and support by selecting one of the ‘APPRECIATION GESTURE’ buttons shown on the HOME page here on Tom’s website. THANK YOU! This link will take you there –

We love this great track. Performed by Tom………. way back in 2012.
(Songwriters: Peter Green/Clifford George Adams)

Here’s a little note from Tom about it;

‘I recently rediscovered this track and many others on my PC, from when I was playing the pub circuit in the south west UK around 2012.

I needed to make a CD as a reminder of what I used to do to make a living.

The track was the idea of a great mate and fine musician, John Archer. Originally composed and played by PETER GREEN from Fleetwood Mac. Interestingly we (The Zombies) we’re inducted last year at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with Stevie Nicks the lead singer. So strange!

Happy memories cutting my teeth to sometimes only a few and sometimes packed people in the pubs. Hope you like the track’.

Boom.

Tom’s recent solo show in Studio B on board The Mariner Of The Seas cruise ship was quite exciting and packed to the rafters with quite a welcoming crowd. One of the highlights was his performance and arrangement of ‘Flight Of The Bumblebee’( written by composer Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov).

The musicality involved in performing this is just a bit jaw dropping ……especially watching Tom’s fingers move at approximately 150 BPM. In fact, he practiced over 6 months to accomplish this ( and continues to practice playing this song everyday).

Here’s what he had to say about his first public performance of this song which he debuted on the ship that night:

…..’so in Somerset where I live ( AKA ‘Zummerzet’, where the cider apples grow) a lot of CIDER is made and drunk. Somehow the bees find their way to this tempting brew on the farms and get slightly sozzled. So if there are a few notes going astray in this piece please don’t blame me, blame the cider!’

So without any further ado , we’d like to share this little video that captured Tom’s Bumblebee. Sit back and take it in.
